McGruers provided us with all 17 of the original drawings. Many of the drawings are specifically ABLE's rather than her 4 sisters. Notes on the drawings give an interesting glimpse into the designer's and builder's minds during her construction.

The drawings were invaluable for understanding the boat and for designing minor modifications. Here the existing sails have been added to ABLE's original sailplan drawing.
